About Alphonso A Hell

Alphonso was found by a good Samaritan dodging traffic in a busy street, fortunately he was saved before it was too late. Alphonso is approximately 10 months old and weighs 52lbs and it may get up to 65lbs when full grown. He is very sweet and playful, he likes to hang around with you and drives well in the car. He has already been neutered, vaccinated, heartworm tested negative and microchipped. About Catahoula Leopard Dog Dogs

Catahoula Leopard Dogs are striking, versatile working dogs from Louisiana, named for Catahoula Parish. They are known for their distinctive merle coat patterns and often have striking glass eyes (heterochromia). They were originally bred to herd wild hogs and cattle in the swamps.

Adopting a Catahoula brings an intelligent, independent companion who is fiercely loyal to their family. They need an experienced owner who can provide firm, gentle leadership and plenty of exercise. In the right home, they are affectionate and protective family dogs.

Houston’s mild winters are comfortable for Labrador Retrievers. This is the best season for long walks at Memorial Park or along Buffalo Bayou. Labs can finally exercise hard without overheating.

Spring

Mar – May

Labs shed their winter undercoat as Houston warms up. Brush frequently to manage shedding. Mosquitoes emerge early, so keep heartworm prevention current since Labs spend lots of time outdoors.

Summer

75°F to 95°F

Jun – Aug

Houston’s extreme heat and humidity are dangerous for active Labrador Retrievers who don’t self-regulate during exercise. Walk only before 7 AM or after 8 PM. Provide wading pools to help Labs cool off at home.

Fall

55°F to 82°F

Sep – Nov

September is still hot in Houston, but by October Labrador Retrievers can enjoy Danny Jackson Dog Park and Terry Hershey Park trails comfortably. Their coat begins thickening, though Houston’s mild winters require less bulk.
