Tyson
AvailableTyson is a young, gray and white Domestic Short Hair with a short coat living in Jackson, CA. He is neutered, house trained, and up to date on his vaccinations. Tyson is a special needs cat who has adapted to life after a hind leg amputation. His medium size and resilient nature make him a unique companion.
About Tyson
Tyson came into care after dragging his injured hind leg into a Jackson garage, showing both fierce will and deep pain. He arrived as a young, striking pale grey tabby, scared and wild, with a severe femur fracture that required immediate veterinary attention. His path wasn’t easy: the break was so bad his leg needed to be amputated, and even after surgery Tyson kept his fighting spirit. Bitey, spicy, and quick to warn off hands, Tyson kept alternating between his defensive side and unexpectedly soft moments—purring, seeking treats, showing flashes of curiosity and trust as he recovered. Today, Tyson shows the world that resilience and gentleness can fit in a single body. He’s learned to navigate the world as a three-legged cat, still protective of his space but with a hint of affection cropping up when you least expect it. With time and understanding, he’ll blossom with someone who respects that mix of grit and vulnerability. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
