About Church

Church turned up in the snow one February in Philadelphia, trying to make his way into a church for some relief from the cold. Thanks to a kind local, he got the chance at indoor living, and now he’s figuring out what it means to be safe and loved inside. Church has settled into the comfort of home life quickly and is showing his true colors as a lap cat—he loves being close, soaking up attention, and makes a soft, raspy meow that’s more whisper than voice. Curiosity still leads him around the house, as he checks out every nook where the heat collects and the light comes in. He’s fully vetted, neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped, and his tests all came back clear for parasites and FeLV. Church is FIV-positive, but it’s managed day-to-day care and doesn’t hold him back. He needs a thoughtful adopter who knows that FIV isn’t the end of the world; in a calm household, he can thrive and coexist peacefully. While he doesn’t get along well with other cats, he does enjoy children and is happiest when he has people to love. Church has paid his dues on the street and is past ready for a real home: one that offers warmth, safety, and someone to curl up with at the end of every day. Born February 24, Church is a Pisces, which suits his gentle and affectionate nature. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
