About Cecelia Kent
Cecelia, sometimes called "Leeloo," is tough to sum up in a sentence. She’s a 12-year-old Domestic Short Hair who came to the rescue after her previous owner could no longer keep her. Cecelia thrives best with an experienced adopter who knows how to give her space and let trust build slowly. She isn’t interested in being a lap cat or living with children, dogs, or other cats, so she needs to be your one and only animal companion. If you respect her boundaries, Cecelia will reward you with playful antics, chatty exchanges, and the occasional dramatic flop at your feet. She prefers lounging on a cat tree with a window view over cuddling, but don’t mistake her independence for aloofness—she has bursts of playful energy for feather wands and rolling balls. Cecelia is on canned prescription food and will need someone ready to keep up with her special diet. She is spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped, and her FIV/FeLV tests are negative. Local adopters only (Northern VA/DC/MD area), and no student homes. Cecelia isn’t a fit for a busy family, but if you can appreciate a cat with boundaries and quirks, she just might become your most loyal companion. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
