About Bebop
Bebop is a gentle, affectionate medium-sized Shepherd who has stolen the hearts of everyone who meets her. Despite being diagnosed with cerebellar hypoplasia, a neurological condition affecting her coordination, Bebop is full of life and eager to be close to her people. Her quirky gait and wobbly steps make her unique, but they don’t stop her from thriving—she runs, plays with toys, enjoys walks, and rides quietly in the car. Bebop is house trained, sleeps soundly in her kennel, and takes comfort in being by your side, but is not pushy about it. Her ideal home would offer a fenced yard and a single-level layout or minimal stairs to accommodate her vision and balance challenges. Bebop gets along with many dogs in neutral situations but could be happiest as either a solo pet or with a tolerant, easygoing dog companion. She is great with older children and could make a sweet companion for a retired person. Cats are not a match for her. Volunteers consistently praise her calm, loving spirit and note how easily she fits into daily routines. If you’re looking for a special, devoted companion ready to brighten up your days, Bebop is more than ready for her forever family. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!

Questions about Bebop
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Shepherds like Bebop thrive in homes that offer regular companionship and space to move around. They are happiest in environments where they can be included in daily activities and not left alone for long periods.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Bebop will benefit from a yard or safe, contained area where she can safely explore and enjoy her zoomies. While Shepherds are energetic, Bebop's mild mobility challenges mean a moderate amount of outdoor time will keep her happy and healthy.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Shepherds like Bebop can be good with children, especially those old enough to understand her unique needs and energy level. For Bebop, a home with older kids is best, since her unsteady gait could accidentally knock over little ones.
