Walter
AvailableWalter is a small, mixed breed male puppy living in Morganville, NJ. He’s about 12 pounds and baby-aged, with his vaccines current and his neuter scheduled for the near future. Walter gets along with dogs and children, and would do best with an adopter who understands how to help shy dogs acclimate to new surroundings.
About Walter
Walter is a shy little pup, weighing about 12 pounds and just over five months old as of mid-March. He tends to feel most comfortable with smaller dogs and will need patient introductions with larger, more active ones—those can make him nervous. Walter and his brother Wiley came from an unwanted litter, and by the time rescue stepped in, only the two boys were left. Both are adjusting well in their foster homes, showing themselves to be sweet and playful, though Walter takes a little longer to warm up and feels safest when given extra time to settle. He’s had his rabies shot, and his DAPP series will be up to date by mid-February. He’s also microchipped, and the rescue will schedule his neuter when the time comes. Walter really needs an experienced dog parent who understands shy dogs and can let him acclimate at his own pace. A home with a fenced yard is preferred to help Walter feel secure as he gets used to a new environment. He’s ready to meet families or homes with kids and other friendly dogs, provided they respect his gentle ways. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
