About Sunshine
Sunshine started life as an independent feral cat, known for outsmarting the neighborhood by sneaking treats and becoming a blurry shadow on security cameras. Over time, after spending about a year getting used to people, his tough exterior began to soften. True to his name, Sunshine is mostly black and was once quick to hiss at the humans who fed him. With patience, though, he transformed, now relishing lap time and seeking pets for long stretches, even if being picked up is still a work in progress. He entertains himself with pyramid ball toys and furry mice, though flashy dangling toys sometimes make him wary. Sunshine is very shy and will need a patient adopter willing to give him time and space to adjust. Once he trusts you, he rewards you with deep devotion. He's bonded with his foster friend Holly; they curl up together in cat beds meant for just one and groom each other devotedly. While he would love to be adopted with Holly, it isn't a dealbreaker. If you're a steady, understanding person and invest in building trust, Sunshine will become an incredibly loyal companion. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
