About Luna

Luna is a sweet terrier mix who was surrendered through no fault of her own and is now ready for a fresh start with a loving family. This 14 lb girl is the perfect balance of active and devoted. Luna truly thrives as a companion dog and will do best as the only pet in the home, with no dogs or cats, where she can soak up all the love and attention she deserves. If you’re looking for a walking partner, Luna is your girl. She loves staying active and enjoys multiple daily walks, currently thriving on a routine of four walks a day. She will happily join you on all your adventures and then settle in right by your side to relax. If you’re ever running late, Luna is also trained to use wee-wee pads, making her a reliable and adaptable companion. Luna is fully potty trained and crate trained, and she often goes into her crate on her own to relax and unwind. She does especially well in a structured home where she can follow a consistent routine. She also takes pride in being your little protector. Luna enjoys keeping watch over the home and will gladly scare away squirrels, something she takes very seriously (and quite proudly!). Playtime is one of her favorite parts of the day, especially when it involves her toys or a fun game of tug-of-war. She is affectionate, playful, and happiest when she’s close to her people. As an added bonus, Luna is currently enrolled in a training program where she is learning commands such as sit, down, and place, giving her future family a wonderful foundation to continue building on. Luna is spayed, up to date on all vaccines, heartworm and Lyme tested, microchipped, and dewormed, so she is fully ready to go home. She would thrive with an active individual or family looking for a loyal, loving companion who will be by their side through it all. Luna is available for a foster-to-adopt home or a committed adopter. Luna is ready to start her next chapter—could it be with you? For inquiries, please email: info@rootrescue.org
