Macho is a gray, medium-sized Domestic Short Hair with a gentle temperament and 8 months of youthful curiosity. He’s a neutered male, up to date on vaccinations, and lives in Middle Village, NY. Although he’s FeLV positive, Macho’s only real requirement is finding a patient home where he can blossom at his own pace.

About Macho

Macho is the shy guy with the most ironic name—there’s not a macho bone in his fuzzy little body. When you first meet him, you’ll notice those wide, thoughtful eyes (he’s sizing up the world, cautious but hopeful). Give him a minute and he starts to relax, showing off a playful, kitteny side as he darts after toys and goofs around with his sister. He’s still figuring out that everything outside his comfort zone isn’t out to get him, but with calm reassurance and maybe a friendly cat, you’ll watch him bloom into a gentle shadow companion. He’s a softie through and through, content to follow other animals’ lead and observe before he jumps in. Macho is especially drawn to a quiet home, ideally with another FeLV+ cat, though he’d also adjust to a home with a respectful dog. It’ll take patience, but he’s worth the wait—every breakthrough feels like winning the trust lottery. Despite being FeLV+, Macho wants what every cat wants: loving people, toys, and somewhere safe to stretch out at the end of the day. He isn’t asking for perfection, just someone to believe in him. Born September 3, Macho is a Virgo—true to his sign, he appreciates a gentle routine. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
