About Smokey Vi

Smokey Vi, sometimes called Smoke Dawg, is a 4-year-old Rottweiler in Dallas who’s sturdily built and packed with charm. Life wasn’t kind to him at first—he survived abuse and neglect, arriving with heartworms, GI parasites, skin infection, and leg issues that might be from old injuries. Thanks to attentive care and a big heart, Smokey’s health has improved remarkably. He’s vaccinated, microchipped, and finally starting to live the life he always deserved. Personality-wise, Smokey is a mellow but playful dog who enjoys wrestling, walks, car rides, and food above all else. He adores treats, but don’t bother with veggies—he’ll pass. Smokey gets along well with other dogs (he lives with another pup), but his friendliness with cats or small animals isn’t known. Crate trained (though a bit vocal at first), house trained (with the occasional mark if unsupervised), and experienced with basic commands, Smokey’s both clever and affectionate. He’ll circle you when you get home, grunting in delight, then collapse for a cuddle. He thrives best as an outside dog; a fenced yard and chew toys are a must, but he’ll gladly nap inside if given enough activity. Playful, friendly, and resilient, Smokey just wants a safe yard, regular meals, and kind humans. He’s searching for a family ready to give him the permanent home he’s always needed.
