About Boots

Meet Boots. He lost his longtime home when his elderly owner couldn't care for him any longer, ending up at the shelter—intact and nervous. He’s been neutered and brought up to date on vaccinations since arriving. At first, Boots was wary and swatted out of fear, but considering he’s a senior suddenly tossed into shelter chaos, it makes sense. Over time, he’s calmed and is far more open to affection.  Boots grew up with both cats and dogs and shows no aggression. Instead, he's gentle, a little shy, and prefers quiet moments. Shelter staff call him the nap king—he finds his comfort in food, a cozy corner, and a view out the window. He’s litter box trained and just wants a peaceful place to bask in the sun and enjoy his retirement years.  Click apply to start the adoption process.

Questions about Boots

  • What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?

Boots doesn’t require outdoor space and is happiest as an indoor cat. Domestic Short Hairs are content with windows to watch the world go by and safe indoor spots to nap.
