About Brownie
Brownie is a 10-year-old black long haired cat, though after a recent shave for badly matted fur, her full beauty is temporarily hidden. What stands out now is her big puffy tail on her tiny, almost six-pound body, which her foster mom jokes picks up dust as she helps with chores. Once her coat grows back, Brownie will need regular brushing to stay comfortable, which is also a nice way to bond. Her previous owner couldn’t keep up with this care due to health issues, so a gentle touch is important in her new home. Before adoption, Brownie will have a dental procedure, and all her senior bloodwork and tests came back great. Brownie is deaf, so she may not notice when you enter a room, often snoozing deeply in her favorite bed. She isn't especially cuddly at the moment, but she’s curious, loves to wander and sniff around, and will likely warm up to being petted and sharing a bed at night. Give her catnip toys and she perks right up—she’s playful even at this age. Brownie’s attitude is kittenlike despite her years, and while she hasn’t lived with other animals or kids in foster care, her sunny curiosity stands out.
