About Schipperke Dogs

Schipperkes are small, black, fox-faced dogs from Belgium that served as watchdogs and rat catchers on canal barges. Their name means "little captain," reflecting their confident, independent personality. Their distinctive silhouette features a ruff of fur around the neck and a naturally tailless rear.

Adopting a Schipperke brings a curious, alert companion who is always investigating something new. They are devoted to their family, excellent watchdogs, and surprisingly athletic. Their compact size and bold personality make them engaging companions.
