About Forrest Gump

Forrest Gump arrived at the rescue last December, pretty nervous and looking for comfort. Over time, that skittish exterior faded and now he’s about as sweet as they come. He loves to be close, perching on shoulders or curling up on a lap—sometimes he’ll even crawl under the covers in the morning for a snuggle. Forrest is friendly with the household cats and is totally fine with dogs, too. He’s still a little wary of men, and quick movements can spook him, but every week he grows braver. He has started learning fetch and brings real kitten energy to playtime. Sometimes he’ll get a little congestion or some eye gunk—a minor respiratory issue that’ll be with him for life—but it genuinely doesn’t slow him down. Once a week or so he needs a quick wipe or scratch, and then he's back to normal. He was checked out by a vet and is otherwise healthy. Forrest Gump will need a bit of patience while he settles in, but he’s worth it—a quirky lap cat ready for a real home. Your new best friend is just one click away.
