Nico is a young, friendly boy, about 2 years old. He showed up at one of the colonies we care for where we observed that he was very hungry, but still deferential to the other cats there. Niko isn't an overly clingy kitty, or constantly underfoot, he can entertain himself. It's pretty cute to watch his antics with his toys. He has learned that our dogs are OK so we think he could cohabitate with dogs that are reasonably calm around cats. He will explore the house, then settle down next to you on the sofa for pets. Sometimes he gets very lovey-dovey and walks all over my lap for pets and snuggles. Niko tested negative for FIV/FELV. He is fixed, fully vaccinated, microchipped and weighs about 10 pounds. He consistently uses his litter box so no worries there. He is also polite when it comes to nail clipping. We would prefer an adult only home for Niko. Another kitty pal would be OK if their play was not rough as he is easily intimidated. It sort of seems like he didn't know how to play with other cats. He's learning! The adopter must agree to a screening process that includes an application, phone call, and an adoption agreement.
