Meet Evelyn (aka “Popple”) Evelyn is a petite, 4-year-old sweetheart with a big personality tucked into a very dainty frame. Affectionately nicknamed Popple (because she sometimes looks like an adorably disgruntled popple when she’s unimpressed), she is equal parts silly, expressive, and endearing. She’s a cat with opinions—and she’s not shy about sharing them. Evelyn is chatty, particular, and wonderfully communicative once she feels comfortable. She’ll let you know what she likes, what she doesn’t, and when she thinks it’s time for attention (or snacks). Her Medical Story (and how she’s doing now) Evelyn was born with eyelid agenesis, meaning her eyelids did not fully develop. Because of this, she underwent laser surgery to prevent her eyelashes from irritating her eyes and protect her long-term comfort and vision. She is now: Healthy Happy Comfortable Fully thriving in her daily life She does require routine monitoring as part of her normal care, but she is doing beautifully and is not defined by her condition. Personality Evelyn is: Sweet and affectionate once she trusts you A little shy with new people at first Very petite and delicate in presence Silly and expressive when she’s relaxed Chatty and opinionated in the most charming way She can be a bit particular about her environment and interactions, but that just adds to her distinct personality. She knows what she likes—and she’s not afraid to tell you. The “Olympic Floor Routine” When she’s feeling playful, Evelyn has bursts of energy that are equal parts graceful and chaotic. Her signature move—affectionately dubbed “the triple butz”—is pure comedy gold and a reminder that even the most dignified little cats have their goofy moments. Ideal Home A calm, patient home that respects her shy introduction period Someone who appreciates a cat with personality and boundaries A quieter environment where she can feel safe and in control Adopters who find joy in slow-building trust and quirky charm Evelyn isn’t a “clingy lap cat” type—she’s more of a thoughtful companion who builds a quiet, meaningful bond over time. For the right person, she’s unforgettable: a tiny, expressive little soul with a lot of heart and a very strong sense of self.
