About Wendy
Wendy starts off shy—a little hesitant in new spaces and around new people. She came from a rough situation, rescued alongside 23 other dogs from an abandoned shop in Houston. Everything about rescue has been an adjustment for her. At first, Wendy stuck to the sidelines, watching and processing the world from a safe distance. But you can practically watch her confidence grow with every new day. Outdoors, she perks up. Toss her a little kindness, some time to observe, and she’ll claim the water bowl or trot across the yard with a new sense of belonging. Wendy is the kind of dog who will need an adopter willing to celebrate small wins; give her patience and she’ll build trust and open up. Once she feels safe, her silly, sweet personality bubbles to the surface. After all she’s been through, seeing Wendy’s confidence bloom feels like the whole point of this work. She gets along with dogs, cats, and children. Wendy is house trained, vaccinated, and spayed. Her next chapter is ready to begin. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
