About Gemma Mae "gemgem"

Gemma Mae, or "gemgem" as she's affectionately called, is a soft-natured, sensitive cat who forms close, loyal bonds with her person. She thrives in a calm, quiet home as the only pet, where her gentle affection and warm presence can truly shine. Gemma stays close, leans in for affection, and shares soft meows and gentle head bumps when she feels secure. Despite being a senior, she still has playful moments chasing toy mice or ribbons, and you might catch her in a burst of zoomies trailing her limp tail. Gemma had a tough start and spent time outdoors fending for herself, resulting in a lower spine injury and a tail that now has a limp. It doesn’t slow her down or dampen her capacity for joy, but she does best in peaceful settings with patient adopters who understand her need for reassurance and minimal chaos. She is not house trained and should be the only cat in the household. Gemma has done well with a gentle older child but busy or unfamiliar environments are stressful for her. Her foster will send her with a care package to help smooth the transition. Gemma is spayed, fully vaccinated, and ready to find the loving home she’s been waiting for.
