About Lucy & Jesse

Make their next chapter their best one yet. Lucy and Jesse were given a second chance after being rescued from Highlands County animal services, and now they're searching for a loving home together. Jesse, a five-year-old male Yorkie weighing 10 pounds, is full of spirit and loves to keep things lively with his high energy and sweet personality. Lucy, a five-year-old yellow Labrador Retriever at 59 pounds, is known for her easy-going nature and her warm affection for everyone she meets. Both dogs have tested negative for heartworm and are currently up to date on their vaccinations, microchipped, and spayed/neutered. A meet and greet will be required if you have another dog in your household, as these two need to find a home where they can stay together. The shelter takes the time to thoughtfully match each dog to the right family, and applicants must be at least 21 years old. Please keep in mind, photos of your home may be requested as part of the process, and the rescue prioritizes the welfare of the dogs first. Closing out their shelter journey together, Lucy and Jesse are ready for a home where they can bring twice the love and joy. Give them the home they have been waiting for. Apply today.
