Gizmo is a small, senior male Chihuahua with a short brown and white coat. He’s 11 years and 5 months old and currently resides in Pomona, NY. Gizmo is not yet neutered and is not house trained. He is fully vaccinated and requires daily eye medication for his chronic dry eyes, and because he has only one tooth left, he can only have soft treats.

About Gizmo

Gizmo arrived at the Hudson Valley Humane Society as a stray in 2024. When he first came in, his nails were extremely long, but that’s been taken care of thanks to attentive staff. Gizmo needs twice-daily eye medication for chronic dry eyes, but he’s very cooperative about it—especially if there’s a soft treat involved. With only one tooth left, soft treats are essential for him. He’s a quiet little dog, mostly content to bury himself under blankets or take slow walks around, though he’ll let you know when he’s hungry. He isn’t house trained but does well in a calm routine. All his vaccines and rabies shots are up to date so he’s ready for a new home. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
