About Rufus

**WE ARE ALWAYS IN NEED OF FOSTER HOMES** Homeward Bound Dog Rescue is an all volunteer rescue organization and all our dogs and puppies are in foster homes - we are not a shelter and do NOT have a facility where we house our dogs. For adoption information go to: www.homewardbounddogrescue.com. You must fill out an application online as we do NOT accept applications at our clinics. Meet Rufus, a male Labradoodle mix, 3 years old, 33 lbs. Poor Rufus. He was given away on Facebook and the new people brought him straight to the shelter. They never actually wanted him, just saw his condition and wanted to get him help. So the shelter groomed him and he looks much better. Rufus is sweet and friendly with people. He loves other dogs. Rufus seems to "get" going potty outside but he may not be fully house trained. We were told he is supposed to be crate trained. Our adoption clinics are held one Saturday a month at our facility in Schenectady on John Street, located directly behind Boulevard Bowl (Erie Boulevard) from 10 am to 12 pm (directions are on our website). We require an approved application before we consider anyone for an adoption - so filling out the application is your first step. Once your application has been reviewed, you will receive an email invitation to attend an adoption event. Different dogs and puppies go up for adoption EVERY WEEK so please feel free to visit the site and click on the Petfinder link for updates as we are adopting dogs out in between adoption events. Puppies and dogs up to 2 years old are $395. Dogs over 2 years old are $295. 100% of the adoption fees go to help us save more dogs.
