AvailableStormy is a female Anatolian Shepherd with a creamy yellow and fawn medium-length coat currently living in Larkspur, CO. At just 5 months old, she’s already house trained and has started her socialization journey. She will be adopted on a special contract since she is not yet spayed. Stormy’s vaccinations are up to date, and because she’s an extra-large breed, she’ll need adopters ready for her future growth and energetic puppy stage.
About Stormy
Stormy is a five-month-old female Anatolian Shepherd with a creamy, medium-length coat and a distinctive black muzzle. Picked up as a stray, she spent some time in a Good Samaritan’s home, living comfortably alongside three other dogs. Stormy craves security and warmth from her people, eager for a loving foothold after a rocky start. She quickly took to toys and treats, a sign of her playful, social nature. Her tail is cropped—a detail from her unknown past—but it doesn’t slow her down. Since moving to her foster home with Big Dogs Huge Paws, Stormy has shown she’s house trained, crate trained, and walks well on a leash. She enjoys being around other dogs and has a gentle disposition that fits right in with the pack. Stormy also gets along with children, making her a good fit for a family ready for a young giant breed pup. Given her breed and age, applicants must have giant breed experience. Socialization and consistent training will be key, as Anatolian Shepherds need both structure and attention as they grow. Regular exercise and engaging toys are important as Stormy matures into her full size. Qualified adopters should be prepared for the realities—financial and otherwise—of raising a giant puppy. As a Sagittarius, Stormy brings adventurous energy and a spirited approach to life. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
