About Crunch
Meet Crunch! Crunch is working hard to leave his past behind. He’s a small, young Miniature Pinscher mix from a hoarding background, and the world still feels big and a little scary to him. He’s most comfortable when he’s with other dogs—he needs confident canine companions around him, and absolutely thrives in homes with a stable, friendly dog or two. At the Milo Foundation’s Small Dog Haven, he sticks close to his dog group, exploring the yard or lounging on the porch. Crunch is food-motivated and will inch closer for a good treat, but still finds direct human interaction stressful. He’s got a quiet bark and will patrol the fence if he hears something outside, but isn’t particularly loud. This isn’t a dog for someone looking for instant affection or social charisma—Crunch needs someone experienced with shy, undersocialized dogs, able to give him months (or more) of patience and security. He’s not a match for homes with children, and he just can’t do without other dogs present. Barrier reactivity and the need for an outdoor yard come with the package. Over time and with steady, gentle guidance, Crunch will continue to build trust and confidence at his own pace. Crunch is a Libra, known for seeking harmony—he’s happiest when his world feels safe and balanced. Ready for a real rescue? Lets make it official, apply to adopt!
