Meet Marcel! Marcel is the perfect cat. He is incredibly sweet and wants nothing more than to nap and receive pets all day long. Personal space is not a concept Marcel understands—or plans to learn. If you sit down, he will be on you. Marcel loves to make biscuits, preferably right on top of his people. His technique is something to behold: a slow‑motion march where he lifts his paws high like he’s doing high knees. Since Marcel is clearly a distinguished French gentleman, we say he’s making croissants rather than biscuits. His favorite spot is sprawled across his foster’s chest, purring loudly while rubbing his face against your chin. Marcel wants to be included in everything you do and will happily hop down from the couch or his cat tree to join you in the kitchen, assist with laundry, supervise litter box cleanings, and even stand guard outside the bathroom. He also makes an excellent work‑from‑home companion, keeping your lap warm while you work, read, or play video games. It truly cannot be overstated how much this boy loves to cuddle. Marcel enjoys chatting and will respond with a variety of quiet meows—but he never cries at night. While we don’t know much about his past, we suspect he may have a BB embedded in his neck. (We're keeping an eye on it!) Despite this, Marcel remains unbelievably sweet and gentle. On a lighter note, we also suspect he was once fed people food. He is particularly fond of vanilla ice cream and will devise cunning schemes to steal some when his foster eats on the couch. He’s also very skilled at convincing different household members to give him a second dinner when they don’t communicate. 😂 Marcel is a very gentle boy and is easy to medicate if ever needed. He doesn’t eat plants, chew cords, or climb where he shouldn’t, and he has flawless litter box manners. Truly a beginner‑friendly, easygoing cat in every way. If you’re looking for a loving, cuddly companion who wants to be your shadow, Marcel is ready to steal your heart—and your lap.
