About Beatrix
Beatrix is the definition of endearing. Abandoned when her last owners moved, she’s settled into foster care where her goofy, soft-hearted nature started to shine. At about a year old and a sturdy 55 lbs, this big young Border Collie mix is picking up manners fast—especially if snacks are involved. She’s naturally bright, but new things and people can make her nervous. Give her a bit of time and she’s cuddling close, angling for belly rubs and doting on her favorite stuffies. Beatrix is happiest with a routine, regular walks, and plenty of active time—a fenced yard suits her energy. She’s obviously dog friendly, gets a kick out of daycare, and would love a canine companion at home. She is house trained and crate trained. Her experience with cats is unknown. She’s looking for an adopter willing to be patient through her initial shyness and ready to enjoy her affectionate spirit. A bonus: if you’re up for a challenge, Beatrix’s sun sign is Pisces, hinting she’ll bring a gentle loyalty to your pack. All adopters need to live within four hours of Kansas City, MO. They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now!
