About Ruger
Meet Ruger, a calm Bluetick Coonhound mix who’s still figuring out just how comfortable a home can be. He’s quiet, keeps barking to a minimum, and is happiest when he gets affection from people willing to invest in him. Ruger’s past life was spent mostly outside, but more than anything he wants to experience family life indoors. He wasn’t used to leashes at first, but he’s eager to learn, picking up new routines quickly and starting to enjoy his daily walks. At a recent adoption event, Ruger handled the crowd with quiet confidence, greeting everyone politely and maintaining his cool. He did great in the car too. Ruger is ready for someone who sees the value in a gentle, loyal companion and wants to show him what life as a true family dog feels like. Make room and let him settle in—he’s ready for his chapter with you. Your new best friend is just one click away.
