spotlight. Meet 6-month-old Lindy and Ruff—our perfectly mismatched, totally adorable “oops litter” pair. They were surrendered as a shepherd and dachshund mix, but there’s no official name for this kind of combination. We’ve been calling them Shewennies. When you can’t decide between a big dog and a little dog, you don’t have to. You just get a Shewennie. Lindy Lindy is a sweet, spunky little diva who very much believes she is the center of the universe. She has striking markings and a long body reminiscent of a dachshund that makes her stand out wherever she goes. She does have a small cherry eye that will be corrected with a simple procedure at the time of adoption. Ruff Despite his name, Ruff is anything but. He is gentle, mellow, and easygoing, with a playful side that comes out when he’s running in the yard or enjoying a good game of fetch. He is social and enjoys engaging with people and other animals. Both puppies are currently doing well in their foster home and are living successfully with other dogs and cats. They are making great progress with house training.
