I may enjoy casually batting at a toy mouse every now and then, but my favorite activity is snuggling on my favorite person's lap! He is white with some traces of nutmeg on his face and he has light blue eyes. He's a little afraid around people so his pupils tend to be large right now. He seems to crave attention and affection, but is also a bit fearful and probably needs to be treated with gentle care at first. He comes forward to meet me because he's naturally curious, but suddenly takes a fright and retreats. There's something very appealing about this young man that makes you want to show him how good life can be with a caring parent. It's a lesson he seems to want to learn. Another volunteer writes: Dove treasures his own creativity and supervisory skills. I can speak to the former because he's one of the most imaginative kitties we have. Is he a good manager? Kind of, but more on that later. Dove's a cat who likes to stay busy and make his own fun. Whether he's trying to pull his neighbor's blankets into his own condo, reaching his paws and calling out at visitors, or theatrically flopping onto his side for pets, Dove is in the middle of something. The first time I met Dove, he insisted that he has the best ideas. I was giving him dinner and he rushed over trying to direct me. His guidelines seemed a bit ambiguous to me, but very important to him, so I tried my best to follow. Dove exasperatedly flopped into my arms because management is hard and he's really more of a creative type anyway. Happy in his flop, he pretended to be a cuddly little glow worm. He wiggled and twirled while keeping an eye out on Adoptions and chatting at people walking by until it was time for his next activity.
