About Samson
Samson is a 1.5-year-old mix of Husky, Australian Shepherd, and Poodle, based in Cookeville, TN. He’s medium-sized, about 40 pounds, and has a playful, spirited energy that never really quits. When Samson first enters a room, he’s cautious—he needs a bit of time to build trust, especially with men, but he’s improving by the day. Once comfortable, his affectionate and goofy side is quick to shine. He loves emptying the toy box, scattering every toy around for his own kind of indoor adventure. Samson enjoys walks, fetch, and car rides, and he’s house trained, crate trained, and handles a leash well. He’s social with other dogs and polite around livestock, but he’s a bit too persistent with cats, so a cat-free home fits best. Samson’s fur had to be shaved due to matting, and ongoing grooming will be important for him. With calm, routine, and positive attention, Samson’s confidence grows, and his quirky, loving personality comes forward. He’s ready for a family that can balance guidance, patience, and active play—he’ll repay you with loyalty, tail wags, and toys everywhere. Your new best friend is just one click away.
