About Curly
Curly is an affectionate 8-year-old Pug/Chihuahua mix (known as a Chug) who ended up in rescue after his person moved into a nursing home. At about 17 pounds, he’s compact and sturdy, with a constantly cheerful expression that draws people in. Not much fazes Curly—he bounces back from challenges with a wagging tail and bright eyes. His good-natured personality makes him a favorite wherever he goes. Curly breezed through his vet exam and earned high marks: recent bloodwork, a microchip, a fresh neuter, and all core vaccinations up to date. This isn’t a dog who’ll drive up your vet bills. He’s social with other dogs and cats, and the rescue believes he’d enjoy a gentle canine companion. While tolerant of children, he’s really best matched with older, respectful kids who understand animal boundaries. A secure, fenced yard is recommended, as he likes to explore but doesn’t need a ton of space. Curly’s ready for a new family to call his own and will bring a lot of heart into his next home. Curly is in Toms Brook, VA. Born April 5th, he’s an Aries: energetic, determined, and always up for fun. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
