About Lola
Lola is a highly intelligent, loving dog who picks up new commands quickly and genuinely wants to make her people happy. She’s mastered tricks like sit, down, sit pretty, bang, give paw, wave, crawl, and heel, and even enjoys weaving between your legs during walks. Her training goes beyond basics—she waits for the signal before coming out of her crate or going out a door, and will maintain a sit or down until released. She’s even done hurdles by command, hopping over or crawling under as asked. Lola has excellent leash skills and stays at your side on walks. Despite all these strengths, Lola is sound sensitive. Loud noises like alarms, doorbells, or knocking can overwhelm her, sometimes causing her to redirect her anxiety toward other dogs. Because of this, she is best as the only dog in the household. Behavioral training and fluoxetine have helped her manage some of her sensitivities, but she is still looking for a family that truly understands her needs. If you think you’re the right fit, she’s waiting to meet you. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
