Meet Greyson and Pippi (“Little Pip”), a bonded pair with a touching story of resilience and trust. Greyson (born July 2023) and Pippi (born August 2024) were both born outside and rescued from difficult beginnings. A kind woman stepped in to bring them to safety, knowing they deserved the comfort of indoor life. While they did receive important early care—being spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and ear tipped—they had very limited human interaction and remained unsure of people. When they first came into the rescue, they were underweight and flea-infested, and understandably cautious. Today, they are at a healthy weight with soft, shiny coats and are continuing to grow more comfortable in a home environment every day. Greyson is the braver of the two and has become quite affectionate. He enjoys curling up in his foster mom’s lap and is often the first to seek out attention. His calm, confident nature helps guide Pippi as she builds her own trust. Pippi, affectionately known as “Little Pip,” is shy but incredibly sweet. She greets her foster family with soft little peeps, especially around mealtime. While she is still gaining confidence and currently allows only gentle, minimal pets, she is improving more each day. She is very food and treat motivated, which helps her continue to come out of her shell. Pippi is FIV positive, likely due to her time living outdoors prior to rescue. Cats with FIV can live long, healthy lives and can safely coexist with other cats in a stable home environment. She has lived indoors with Greyson and other cats without any issues. Greyson and Pippi share a strong bond and must be adopted together. Greyson’s bravery gives Pippi the reassurance she needs, and together they thrive. They are looking for a patient, understanding home with no other animals that will give them the time and space to continue building trust and confidence. In return, they will offer a deeply rewarding companionship and the joy of watching them grow. Read below for more information. All our cats are fostered in Texas but available for transport out of state. Our cats are transported to a predetermined location agreed upon by the rescue. The adoption contract and fee are finalized prior to transport. As Mutts N Such direct adoption, the adoption interview/meet and greet occurs on video call (Skype, FB Messenger call, Facetime, etc). Our adoption fee for these kitties is $300 plus transport fee (varies by location). This fee includes age appropriate, vaccinations, registered microchip, testing for FIV and FELV, and a fecal analysis. Cats will be spayed/neutered if over 6 months of age. Cats will also be current on prevention. A health exam will be completed, and a certificate will be issued by a veterinarian within 10 days of departure.
