About Tom

DOB: 04/01/24Tom is the kind of cat that makes you wonder how he ever ended up outside in the first place. He started showing up at a porch feeding station, and it didn’t take long to realize he wasn’t feral - far from it. He is incredibly friendly, affectionate, and clearly comfortable with people, which makes us suspect he once had a home. Unfortunately, he was never neutered, and at some point was left to fend for himself outdoors. When Tom was first found, he had a painful foot injury and wasn’t putting any weight on it. With time and care, that injury has fully healed, and he’s now neutered and ready for a fresh start - this time, the indoor life he truly seems to want. One of Tom’s most charming features is his big, chubby “tomcat cheeks.” These developed because he spent part of his life as an unneutered male. In the wild, those cheeks help protect against bites during fights and signal to female cats - now, they just make him look extra lovable and give him a permanently squishy, teddy-bear face. Despite those rugged origins, Tom still has a young adult body and a gentle, affectionate personality. He leans into pets, seeks out attention, and shows zero interest in returning to outdoor life. Tom is more than ready to trade in survival mode for couch naps, cozy blankets, and a family of his own.Let’s help turn this former outdoor Tom into the indoor “Tommy” he was always meant to be. This cat has been combo-tested for Feline Leukemia and FIV, received all age-appropriate vaccinations and is altered.
