About Honey Comb

Honey Comb is a sweet, silly 5-6 year old terrier mix that weighs 70 lbs. She is exactly what her name suggests: incredibly sweet, affectionate, and full of personality. She absolutely loves people and greets everyone with a big smile and a happy wiggle butt. Honey Comb thrives on human connection and will happily lean in for pets, belly rubs, or a gentle hug. She’s a smart girl who enjoys learning new things and has already proven how quickly she picks things up, like figuring out the doggy door after only a few tries. She’s playful, goofy, and loves to pounce around during playtime, but she’s equally happy curling up for a long nap or quietly hanging out while you work from home. Honey Comb has a nice balance of playful energy and relaxed downtime. She enjoys play sessions like tug or fetch and loves exploring a yard where she can stretch her legs and sniff around. When playtime is over, she transitions easily into calm mode and is content relaxing nearby or watching the world go by from a window. She would do well with a family that enjoys interacting with their dog but also appreciates a companion who can settle and relax during quieter moments. Honey Comb truly loves people of all ages and has shown herself to be gentle and affectionate with children. Her favorite thing in the world is spending time with her humans. Because she forms strong bonds and prefers having her people all to herself, she would do best as the only pet in the home. In return, she offers more than enough love, loyalty, and companionship to fill the house. She is a smart and well-mannered dog who already has a great foundation. Honey Comb knows basic commands like sit, stay, and lay down. She is crate trained, but she also does very well when left out in the home and has proven to be trustworthy and respectful of her environment. She walks nicely on leash with a harness and has excellent house manners. She’s not one to dash out the door or help herself to food left on the counter. She's also fully potty trained and kennel trained, too. Honey Comb’s ideal home would be one where she can enjoy plenty of time with her people and have space to stretch her legs. A home with a secure, fenced yard would be her dream, as she loves having a safe outdoor space to play and relax. While she enjoys spending time outside, she also loves being indoors with her family and would make an excellent companion for someone who works from home or spends a good amount of time at home. With the right environment and loving humans, Honey Comb will thrive and become a deeply devoted companion. And as a bonus, she even has a unique little feature: one eye has white eyelashes and the other has brown, giving her an extra touch of charm. Honey Comb has an enormous heart and so much love to give. She’s ready to find a home where she can share that love every single day. This is a courtesy post for Honey Comb. Honey Comb is in a foster home in Central Texas. She can be adopted and transported to the following cities/states: https://www.loveandpuppypawsdogrescue.com/transport-locations If you are interested in adopting Honey Comb, please fill out an application at: https://www.loveandpuppypawsdogrescue.com/adoption-application. TRANSPORT: Currently we have monthly transports. It will be up to the adoptive family to meet the transport to pick up your new family member. Please be advised that our dogs are adopted to their forever families prior to being transported. Unfortunately at this time, we cannot bring dogs for a typical meet and greet situation, due to the extensiveness of the transport distance and it being unfair for the dogs who are not adopted to have to make the trip back. Please be advised that applications are reviewed in the order that they are received. To ensure we are honoring the dogs that we have committed to helping, we do have policies and procedures in place that we follow when reviewing adoption applications. LAPP Dog Rescue is ran 100% by volunteers, so please be mindful that when you submit an application that it can take a few days to be reviewed. Submitting an application is not a confirmation that the adoption will be approved/completed. Before submitting the application, please read the FULL description on PetFinder describing the dog's personality, energy level, housing requirements and our policy on meet and greets. The cost to adopt is $300 which includes all age appropriate vaccinations, spay procedure, microchip, flea/heartworm prevention, health certificate from a licensed veterinarian, plus any necessary vet care while in the rescue's care. Her transport fee will be covered by a donor, so there is no additional cost to have her transported to her forever home.
