About Flanders
Meet Flanders—a 1-year-old, roughly 60-pound goofball with a smile that could light up a room. He's got plenty of heart and boundless energy, and if there’s a treat involved, you’ve got his full attention. Flanders is eager to please and learns quickly, but still has plenty of puppy gusto that needs channeling. Daily exercise, plenty of mental stimulation, and ongoing training are all key for him. What this dog wants most is to play hard, be noticed, and soak up every bit of affection you’re willing to give. He’s already crate trained, walks well on leash, and is the sort of pup who rides calmly in the car. After an outing or a romp in the yard, Flanders is happy to climb up for a cuddle, draping himself across you and wedging his face under your chin. He wears his energy on his sleeve and holds nothing back—life is something to approach at full tilt. But with some patience and structure, he’ll settle in as a loyal, loving companion. Flanders will likely do best in a home with a yard where he can run and play. He needs slow, managed introductions with other dogs and may be able to live with cats, though his fosters haven’t tested him much yet. If you want a big-hearted, high-energy young dog who thrives on attention and loves deeply, Flanders is ready to jump into your life. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
