Meet Major - Placement needed by 4/26 Major has got some major news! Our dedicated volunteer trainers busted Major out the shelter for a lovely day trip and he showed off how amazing and adoptable he is away from shelter stress. Major is a 2yo Rottweiler mix who has been in the shelter for over 75 days without a single night away from the shelter. The stress is really impacting his quality of life. Major is a Lifesaver pup and he needs an adopter, rescue transfer or commuted foster before 4/26 for a positive outcome. Today Major absolutely shined! He trotted around a yard, rolled in some fresh grass, played with one of his favorite toys and made some new friends! Major is not jumpy or flashy when meeting new people, and approaches people calmly with curiosity to see if they want to be friends with him too. At the end of his day trip, he went on a parallel walk with another pup and did fantastic as well! Calm, non reactive and enjoying his time trotting alongside a new friend. Major has the potential to live with another dog with slow intros as always recommended with bringing a new dog into a home. Major is also treat motivated and eager to please! He comes with free ongoing support and training from our lovely certified trainers.
