About Dorothy

Dorothy is a petite, young Egyptian Mau originally rescued as a pregnant stray in South Florida. Now that her kittens are adopted, it’s her turn for a family. She connects deeply with her chosen person and will shadow you around the house, always loyal and eager for connection. This cat is fast, agile, and lives for interactive play—she bolts around the house in energetic zoomies and scales any reachable surface, but still makes time to curl up for a cozy nap when you’re nearby. Dorothy’s voice is distinct, more chirpy than disruptive, adding a bit of personality without turning your space into a concert hall. She’s sensitive and intuitive, quickly tuning into the mood of whoever she bonds with, and gravitates especially toward women. Though she tolerates other cats with the right introduction, she would really thrive as your solo companion. Dorothy does not get along with dogs. Strict adoption policies apply: homes must have experience with cats, an established vet, and if adopting a kitten, either a young animal companion or willingness to adopt a pair. Dorothy is waiting in Boca Raton, FL, ready to build genuine companionship. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
