Say hello to Ellie! This beautiful girl is about 3.5-4 years old, 50 lbs, and an Aussie/Cattle Dog/Heeler mix with the perfect blend of brains, loyalty, and sweetness! Ellie is the kind of dog who bonds deeply with her people—she’s friendly, loving, and has an all-around wonderful disposition. She’s great with kids, housebroken, and crate trained… basically, she’s got the foundation everyone hopes for in a dog! Why we love Ellie: Friendly and affectionate Great with kids Housebroken & crate trained Smart and eager to connect with her people- takes redirection well Loyal, loving, and full of personality Dog friends: Ellie can be a bit selective—she enjoys some dogs and isn’t a fan of others, so she may thrive best as your one-and-only (and trust us, she’s more than enough love to go around 💕) Leash skills: Ellie does need a little work here—she doesn’t get out for walks as often as she should right now, so she can get excited, pull, and jump on leash. The good news? That’s a very fixable behavior with consistency and a little time. She’s a smart girl and will absolutely improve with the right guidance! Home needs: Because of her breed and energy level, Ellie will need a home with a yard to run and play—no apartments for this girl. Foster plea: Ellie would truly benefit from a foster who can spend a bit more time working with her and helping her shine. Even a temporary foster for just 2 weeks could make a huge difference in setting her up for success—or better yet, an adopter ready to give her the forever home she’s been waiting for!
