Scooby is 4 years and 4 months old, weighing in at a strong and athletic 70 lbs. He’s sweet, affectionate, incredibly smart, and always ready for fun. If you’re looking for a cuddly companion who also loves to play, Scooby might be your guy. He absolutely loves toys—especially the tough kind! Soft toys don’t stand a chance, so he sticks to super chewer toys, hard bones, and his favorite: lacrosse balls. They’re durable, bouncy, and perfect for outdoor play. Scooby does well around kids, but due to his size and enthusiasm, a home with older children (8+) would be the best fit so no one gets accidentally knocked over during playtime. After being attacked by two dogs in the past, Scooby can be selective with other dogs. With slow, careful introductions, he has the potential to build positive canine friendships. He’s a big fan of car rides and being out and about, though long walks can get him excited—he may pull on the leash, so continued training would help him shine even more. Scooby has a poultry sensitivity, so his diet will need to avoid those ingredients. He’s not picky otherwise—he’ll happily snack on frozen fruits and veggies! One funny quirk: Scooby is NOT a fan of water. Lakes, beaches, baths—you name it. He’ll tolerate bath time, but he’ll definitely let you know he’s not thrilled. Fragrance-free products are best for his sensitive skin. His dream home includes a fenced yard where he can run, play, and burn off all that energy.
