Sneakers is a sweet, sensitive boy who’s just waiting for the right person to help him feel safe and loved. When you approach his kennel, he’s happy to greet you and is easy to leash up—he’s ready to get out and spend time with his people! Once you get to know him, Sneakers shows his gentle side. He enjoys being pet and will wag his whole body while soaking up attention. He can be a little timid at first, especially with new people or when someone leans over him, but with a calm, patient approach (and maybe a few tasty treats!), he quickly warms up and shows his affectionate, companionable personality. Think soft eyes, little "boops," and a dog who just wants to be near you. Sneakers is still learning the ropes in a few areas. He may pull a bit on leash and can be reactive when passing other dogs, but with guidance and consistency, he has great potential. In playgroups, he shows social interest and curiosity—he may just need a bit of help learning polite doggy manners. He’s very food-motivated (a great training bonus!) and is comfortable being handled overall, though he can be a bit unsure with certain touches like his paws or when asked to sit. He also loves his chew items and may need some gentle training around trading items—but he responds well when offered something yummy in return.
