I like the simple things in life. The click of a leash. The word “walk.” The way the world smells different every single time we step outside. I take my job seriously... sniffing every corner, checking every tree, making sure everything is exactly as it should be. You call it “taking too long.” I call it understanding the universe. But honestly? I’d walk anywhere, as long as you’re at the other end of the leash. When we get home, I’m not complicated. A soft spot on the floor, maybe a couch if I can sneak it, and I’m happy. I don’t ask for much. Just your time, your company, and maybe that last bite you said you weren’t going to share. Everything I love smells a little like you.
