Prentiss is a 25-pound terrier mix with four years of life experience and a heart that seems to belong to absolutely everyone she meets. Friendly, happy, and full of charm, she’s the kind of dog who believes people were invented specifically to pet her—and honestly, she may be onto something. She loves human company and would likely do well with kids who are ready for a loyal sidekick and professional greeter. Prentiss has previously lived with cats and may do well with feline friends again. As for other dogs, we’re still learning about her preferences, so any resident dog would need to come along for a meet-and-greet first. Prentiss is spayed, medically up to date, and ready to trade shelter life for couches, walks, and a family who appreciates a terrier mix with personality to spare. If you’ve been looking for a fun-sized best friend with a people-loving spirit, Prentiss may be waiting for you. Since many of our adoptable dogs are in foster homes, appointments are highly recommended to ensure the animal you are interested in is currently at the shelter. Our adoption fees include the following: all of our dogs/puppies are current on vaccinations (DHPP and Rabies if over 3 months of age) at the point of adoption, dewormed, heartworm tested and current on preventative, microchipped, treated for fleas/ticks and are spayed or neutered. Our large dog adoption fee is generally $175 + tax. Our small dog and puppy adoption fee is generally $300+ tax. Adoption fees may vary in special circumstances. Due to space limitations, we do not hold dogs. Because we are on a busy street, we require that all dogs leaving the shelter be in a carrier or on leash. All pets remain up for adoption until an approved application is processed and their adoption fee paid.
