About Orion Hufflepup

This dog is currently out of state but will be transported to New England shortly with no additional travel costs. The long distance adoption process includes talking to the foster they are living with in the south. Roughly 90% of our dogs are successfully long distance adopted and 10% adopted locally. **Please read Orion Hufflepup's entire profile, which includes a link to the adoption application at the end. Thank you!** Welcome to Dogwarts, school of Fetch-craft and Zoomies! We're thrilled to introduce you to Orion Hufflepup, a 6-week-old Border Collie / German Shepherd mix, weighing 7.5 pounds (as of 4/20/26). This boy hails from the HUFFLEPUP litter whose owners moved away and abandoned them with their mom. But just like The Dog Who Lived, these pups are resilient! With a flick of their wands, they're sure to add magic to your castle! The only boy of the Hufflepup litter, Orion is the smallest of his siblings. He's a spirited boy who doesn't let any creature stop him from giving his people all the love that he can muster. He enjoys playing Quidditch with his siblings, having fantastical dreams when he naps and exploring the world around him whether it's the muggle world or the Wizarding World. This boy is always ready for an adventure against Dementors. Just say "Expecto Patronum"! As they embark on their first year at Dogwarts, the Hufflepups hope their professors will provide a home committed to training and structure as they learn commands, potty, leashing, etc. These puppies are being socialized and are regularly exposed to wizards of all ages, canines, felines, ghosts, werewolves, giants and a variety of experiences in the Wizarding World. The Hufflepups are a work in progress but they are 100% worth it. Don't wait for the Sorting Collar to tell you which house you're in! Adopt the Hufflepups today! All dogs are up to date on vaccinations and spayed/neutered at the time of adoption. All dogs require professional training to become the best family member they can be. Their information is correct to the best of our abilities and the information we have been given as of the day of posting. From time to time we receive new information/photos of a dog and we do recreate their listing, which means their old listing link will no longer be valid. If you are considering a dog but don't apply right away please make sure to search for the dog by name if the link you have no longer works. Please note, GDRNE does not guarantee the breed of any dog or puppy unless stated that we have run DNA. All breeds listed are educated estimates. Note that if the dog is listed as an "Out of town pet" there are NOT additional transport fees - it is included in our adoption fee Our dogs are rescued from various situations. It is most likely that both their parents were strays and even if not, mixes of some sort and that their grandparents were mixes as well. The dog may have some genetic material of an American Staffordshire Terrier (pit bull). The dogs are usually mixes of many breeds, making them a breed all their own - a True and adorable American MUTT. If you are interested in this dog, you must submit an application. Great Dog is not a shelter so there is no building you can visit. Our dogs live in private foster homes until adopted.
