About Lily

Meet Lily! She’s a sweet, loving shepherd mix who’s been in Texas since being rescued as a puppy from Mexico. Now 5 years old and about 65 pounds, Lily’s gentle spirit stands out immediately. She’s timid at first but warms up to anyone taking the time for her, especially if you’ll indulge her love of having her face stroked. She’ll stare into your eyes and soak up all the affection you have to give. Goofiness is part of her charm; when she’s excited—usually about food or attention—her wiggly tail sets her whole body in motion. Lily enjoys the simple joys: sitting in the sun, taking in a breeze, and listening to the outside world. While she really likes walks, she prefers to keep things low key and isn’t up for rigorous hiking or long runs. Fireworks aren’t her thing; she’ll look for somewhere quiet to hide if they go off. She’s house trained, knows some basic commands, and is very food motivated. Healthwise, Lily is spayed, fully vaccinated, and healthy. She had successful ACL surgery a couple of years ago and hasn’t shown any joint issues since dropping some weight. Lily gets along well with other dogs and has lived with several, both at home and while staying with sitters. She’s never been around cats and has only limited experience with children, but older kids should be just fine for her. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
