She was surrendered to ERU due to her owner's health and financial issues. Diva was so scared the first few days here, but is now fully engaged in the home, getting along with all the other eskies (my eskies are wonderful with foster dogs), and having a great time navigating and running in our large fenced in yard. She has never been leash trained so we are patiently and carefully working on that. She had a short seizure when I drove her for her vet appointment so we will keep an eye on that also, to see whether she will need to go on Keppra (anti-epileptic) or not. Diva is available for adoption to the right home - an eskie savvy household with a secure fenced in yard and someone who is willing to continue her leash training. Diva is a lovely and sweet little eskie girl!Diva is currently 14 pounds and will be 4 years old in May 2026. Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state. If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you will have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). Note: We may ask that you to make a donation to cover transport costs if the distance is great and we have trouble finding transport drivers.There is an adoption fee required; and, please be aware, Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs.
