Adopted at 4 months old, he had 6 wonderful years in a loving home with a big yard — until his dad passed away unexpectedly and his mom and teenaged sister had to move to a more urban apartment. For two years now his mom tried desperately to help him adjust, but the cramped apartment and long work hours just aren't the life he was built for. He and his sister kept getting lose in the complex and apartment management mandated that both move out in March. Max is now in foster care and adjusting to life without his former family. Max is an excellent family dog: laid-back, sweet, obsessed with balls and toys, and a champion of sleeping peacefully at the foot of the bed. He just needs a yard again, or someone home during the day, or any life that lets him breathe easier. Please: give this good boy what he once had.
