No owner was ever located, but what we did find is a loving, smart boy who’s blossomed with people and other pets. Important: security needs (read carefully) Dallas is a runner/escape artist—not because he’s “bad,” but because when he gets nervous, his instinct is to bolt. He cannot be trusted: - in an unfenced yard - with doors opening/closing (he will try to slip out) - in a typical backyard fence setup if unsupervised (he may attempt to dig out, especially in populated/noisy areas) Ideal setup for Dallas: - A VERY secure yard (dig-proof reinforcement recommended), or potty breaks always on leash - A family willing to use double-leash or a martingale harness, and practice door safety (baby gates, “wait” training, etc.) - Someone who understands that nervous moments may mean he “puts on the brakes” during walks On walks Dallas can do great, but if something makes him nervous, he may freeze/put the brakes on.
