His sleek coat and confident presence give him the look of a little black panther. Backstory in brief Dexter was born to a feral mother in Houston, Texas. The homeowners provided a safe space for the family, and when the kittens were about 6 weeks old, they entered foster care. Dexter’s mom was TNRed (transitions to a new life) to live as an outdoor cat with ongoing care from people who love her. Personality and preferences Very social and talkative:** Dexter loves to chat, purrs loudly, and enjoys lots of affectionate attention. Kid-friendly potential:** He would likely do well in a home with well-behaved children who understand gentle handling. Dog and cat compatibility:** He gets along nicely with a senior dog and multiple other cats. Dominance considerations:** Dexter is more of an alpha male and can be bossy with some cats. If pairing him with another cat, a confident, similarly sized feline or a single-cat household could be best.
