Eva’s story began quietly — hidden away in a closet, where she brought two tiny puppies into the world for someone who simply couldn’t care for them. Despite the uncertainty around her, Eva did what good mothers do. She protected her babies, learned as she went, and gave them everything she had. Now that her puppies are weaned, Eva is ready to close that difficult chapter and finally step into a life where she gets to be the one cared for. She’s ready to be someone’s dog — loved, chosen, and cherished. And what a dog she is. Eva is a young Maltese mix, about a year and a half old and weighing just 9 pounds. She has soft, flowing hair and the most charming little underbite that gives her face a constant, endearing expression. It’s impossible not to smile when you see her. But her looks are only the beginning. Eva is full of life. She is incredibly friendly, her tail always wagging, her spirit always bright. She truly has never met a stranger. Whether it’s new people, new places, or new experiences, Eva approaches everything with excitement and curiosity. She is house trained, crate trained, and has a perfect medium energy level—happy to play, happy to relax, and always happy to be with her people. One of her favorite things in the world is being carried, and she is very much looking forward to a life where she can be loved, spoiled, and doted on the way she deserves. While she stepped up when she needed to as a mom, it’s clear that Eva is ready to move on from that role. She’s ready to be carefree, to be cherished, and to live the kind of life that revolves around being a companion, not a caretaker. Eva will be spayed shortly and is already vaccinated, microchipped, and in great health. She is ready for her next chapter—one filled with attention, affection, and a family who will appreciate her joyful, loving nature. Currently this dog is being fostered at our Rescue Ranch near Houston, TX but can be brought close to your home on rescue transport which comes through your area once a month. Transport info below. Understanding transport: Once everything is all approved, dogs are scheduled on transport using AJC Rescue & Transport (https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100083418067425). Transport means dogs are carefully and thoughtfully moved via scheduled air conditioned/heated vans from our doggy ranch in Fulshear, TX to a location near you. Each transport consists of a team of two drivers who can alternate. This is how we communicate in real time. The driver who is not driving, will be updating the group chat. You will be included in this group chat to track your dog through transport. You will also be given exact location and scheduled time of arrival. Our drivers do everything possible to run on-time however, things such as traffic, weather etc. can affect arrival time. You will updated regarding delays or possible early arrival. Keep in mind, dogs on transport stop for bathroom, walk and food breaks. For safety, all dogs are crated during transport.
