About Seabiscuit

Seabiscuit was a racehorse during the Great Depression, overlooked due to his small stature. He wasn't built like a typical champion, but he became one anyway through perseverance. He was a symbol of hope, and we named this sweet orange cat after him, as our Seabiscuit needed a bit of hope too. Seabiscuit came to Paws and Claws from South Bend, Indiana, so he could receive specialized medical care -- a limb amputation. Seabiscuit took time to recover, but now, he's safe and after a major surgery, illness, and a long journey, he is healing. In his foster home, Seabiscuit is a true gentleman. All he wants is to be near (or asleep on top of) his person -- he truly loves nothing more than snuggling up in the crook of an arm. When he's not doing that? He's pulling your face close with his one front paw, chasing after small mice toys, or batting at a wand. Just like a true champion, his amputation has not stopped him from living his best life. Now, all he needs is a forever home to begin the rest of his life. Seabiscuit is 9 months old. He must go home with another cat, or to a home which has another cat residing in it.
